petz community etiquette
How you conduct yourself in the PC is pretty important. Everyone is different and it takes all kinds to have a community, but there is a difference between being yourself and being a dick lol. Those members who are kind and respectful recieve the same from others, and are taken seriously when they have something to say. The following is of course just my opinion, but I've been in the PC for a long time now and so I have a little perspective.

newcomers
Whether you are new to the PC or you are communicating with a new member, be respectful. Older members have a lot to offer a newbie, but no one wants to listen to someone who comes off as patronizing or holier-than-thou. New members also have to take the time to become familiar with the ways of the community. If someone corrects you, don't take it personally. They just want to see you fit it and not ruffle any feathers. When you do correct someone, do it nicely. Don't laugh at them or make them feel stupid. A friendly nudge in the right direction is more than enough.greed
If you apply for every pet from every adoption thread or website you come across, you'll come off as greedy and rightfully so. I'm not going to tell you what petz to adopt or anything, but you'll find it useful to really consider your adoption habits. When you see a pet that really strikes you, go for it. If an application is involved it will sound more sincere if you didn't just write the same paragraph for another pet yesterday. Sometimes there will be a whole month of people offering adorable freebies and you'll adopt a lot. That's fine. My point is show a little self control and it will reward you later.
